I have seen a nice evolution and progression since Heritage, here we have a more focused album with more focused song writing and better lyrics. The problems that Heritage had here are solved, this is not a perfect album, still needs to have the complexity that 'old opeth' albums had. Every single song here is equaly enjoyable, there is not any song that you'll not enjoy. Every song sounds different to the other ones, but they feel the same, in a good way, as I said, this album is more focused and every song feels on its place. There is not much to said that I didn't already said in Heritage, some songs have their calmed parts and then they have the heavy moments, and here that is improved too. This album and Damnation are probably the most enjoyable albums for everyone. 100% recomended to any music listener with a little bit of good taste. I must say that you can listen to Eternal Rains Will Come or River first, and if you like thoose songs you'll probably love the rest of the album, Goblin is a funny song, its an instrumental song, so you can imagine the situation of the song, in my case it reminds me to a goblin sneaking into a human castle to steal some stuff, a funny gobling being rogue. Also the album has 2 extra songs in the 'special edition' that are covers from Black Sabbath and Hansson The Wolfe United, good ones, I recomend to check them.
★★★★⋆ 𝕹𝖊𝖆𝖗𝖑𝖞 𝖕𝖊𝖗𝖋𝖊𝖈𝖙 Opeth still needs a little evolution to make a perfect prog rock album, but this is a nice step up.
