This is basically an album that has the same potentias as Blackwater Park or Ghost Reveries but with a concept in it, that doesn't means better, not everyone can get into a concept or feel something for it. In my case I like it, I enjoyed this kind of medieval ghost story and its kinda funny to know that every song ends with the word of the next song title. In the beginning it happened the same as all Opeth albums, I didn't got it, and I expect the same for 'everyone', you'll be like 'ok, this is good, but I don't feel nothing for it' and after some listens, reading lyrics, getting into the concept more you have here an album with the same quality as the other Opeth masterpieces, and like the other albums of that Opeth era, it kinda needs a remake, some stuff sounds kinda outdated, but not as much as Orchid. Overall this is a 'perfect' album, and for some people the best Opeth album, and I can understand that.
